Sgt. John Salazar of the Midvale, Utah, police department confirmed to Access that on January 14, 2009, Archuleta was cited for the alleged misdemeanor during a sting at the Queens of Reiki massage parlor. Police had reports of improper business conduct about the parlor, which they discovered did not have a business license.

During the raid, Salazar told Access that Jeff was found in the back room with a woman, who was also charged with prostitution.

The “Idol” dad pled no contest on January 30 and was fined $582.

An attorney for Jeff Archuleta, Eric Bauer, told Utah station KSTU FOX 13 News that the singer’s dad did not have sexual contact with the masseuse. He added that the 47-year-old was a first-timer at the massage parlor, which he went into for a back problem.

When reached by Access, a rep for David Archuleta commented that the star “is busy preparing for his upcoming tour with Demi Lovato. He thanks his fans for their continued support.”
