“Game of Thrones” will be back for another season.
On Tuesday, HBO confirmed it renewed the show for a fourth. 10-episode season.
“Looking forward to returning for a [fourth] season!!” Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, Tweeted.
“#GameOfThrones has been officially announced for a fourth season,” actor Ian McElhinney wrote on Twitter (he plays the recently returned Ser Barristan Selmy). “I hope you all enjoyed the first S3 episode, I haven’t seen it yet.”
Sunday’s Season 3 premiere of the show proved to be a series high with record numbers tuning in.
The show averaged 4.4. million viewers at the 9 PM time slot. By contrast, Season 2 premiered to 3.9 viewers in the time period.
Website Torrent Freak reported there were over a million downloads of the premiere episode in under one day.
