Gillian Anderson Confirmed For Starz’s ‘American Gods’

Gillian
Anderson is reuniting with her former “Hannibal” boss, Bryan Fuller, on
Starz’s “American Gods.”

On
Friday, Starz announced that Gillian has joined the cast of the series. She is
playing Media, who the network described as “the mouthpiece for the New
Gods, functioning
as their public face and sales representative, by taking the form of various
iconic celebrities.”
In the series, based on Neil Gaiman’s book of the same name, new gods, like
technology and media compete with older, mythological gods.

Gillian
tweeted about the news on Friday, writing, “It’s true! It’s true!
@AmericanGodsSTZ Excited to work with @neilhimself @BryanFuller
