Glam Slam: Bullock’s Beauty

Sandra Bullock was one of the Globes big winners and she also won us over with her gorgeous red carpet style… her hair and makeup perfectly complimented her purple Bottega Veneta gown. We went directly to her personal beauty squad to get their step-by-step tips to create her look.

THE MAKEUP:
Angela Levin, Chanel Celebrity Makeup Artist

THE INSPIRATION:
A glamorous, yet natural look, which really shows off Sandra’s natural beauty and free spirit.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK:
Angela started with Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Sand, which is a neutral taupe shade. She applied with a fluffy brush on the whole lid making sure to blend well. Next, she used her fingers to dab a little bit of Chanel Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow in Torrent, a glittery khaki color, on the lid. Then, using a thin brush to create a soft look, she applied Chanel Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Trace, a warm, copper eye color with glitter, to the outer corners of the eye and to line the lower lid, which added drama. Next, she used a waterproof, retractable pencil – Chanel Long Lasting Eyeliner in Violine, which is a purple very close to the color of Sandra’s dress and dabbed a little bit between the lashes on the outer corners of the eyes. On the cheeks she used Chanel Blush in Tweed Rose, which has a bit of glitter in it for shine and gives you a very natural rosy cheek color. For the lips, Angela chose a new mauve Chanel lipstick that will be in stores in March… Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Beige Felin. She topped that with Chanel Glossimer in Beige Guitare, which adds a bit of shine right in the center of the lip. To finish the look, she used three coats of Chanel Inimitable Mascara in black.

THE HAIR:
Adir Abergel, Fekkai Celebrity Stylist

THE INSPIRATION:
A modernized 1930’s look with deep waves and interesting lines.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK:
Adir started by parting the hair on an angle. He then blow dried the hair adding Fekkai Coiff Perfecteur Anti-Frizz Silkening Creme to create a smooth, frizz-free texture. Then with a 1” curling iron, he curled the hair away from the face. Next, he created a foundation for the ‘do by backcombing the bottom layers of the hair and then tucking the hair under with pins. After, he applied a pinch of Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant Piecing & Forming Wax to separate the pieces of hair, as well as add shine. Abergel then tucked the hair under, creating an asymmetrical bob with a modern twist. To finish the look, Abergel pinned the first part of the hair tightly, let a few pieces hang and pinned the rest back very loosely. Finally, he secured the look by adding Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray.
