Glam Slam: Golden Globes’ Gorgeous Girls

It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen so many gorgeous ladies on one red carpet. Yay! Award show season is here and in full swing!

That means plenty of beauty inspiration for all of us.

Here are the step-by-step makeup looks for three of the carpet’s biggest stunners.

JESSICA ALBA:
WHO: Makeup Artist Lauren Andersen

INSPIRATION: Jessica Alba looked stunning in tangerine Oscar de la Renta. “The dress was the inspiration,” says makeup artist Lauren Andersen. “I loved the contrast between her glowing skin and the matte orange lip. It’s an almost tropical pop of color that’s not an exact match for the dress but close.”

HOW TO:
Skin: Lauren prepped the skin with Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum, and followed with Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturizer in Sand. She then used Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer in Warm under the eyes, down the bridge of the nose and fanned the product out in the center of the forehead to create dimension. She finished the skin step with the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light applied all over to create a golden, subtle warmth. “It’s a soft, refined shimmer that’s glowy,” says Lauren.

Cheeks: She used the bronze shade from Hourglass Illume Crème-to-Powder Bronzer Duo in Sunset to contour the cheeks and followed with the blush shade on the apples of the cheeks.

Eyes: Hourglass Film Noir Kohl Eye Pencil in Espresso was first applied to the outer corners of the eyes and then smudged it with a brush. Lauren then applied Hourglass Superficial Waterproof Bronzer in the crease of the eyes and the gold shade from Hourglass Visionaire Eye Shadow Duo in Dune on the lids. Lashes were treated to several coats of Hourglass Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara. She finished up by amplifying the brows with Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil in Soft Brunette.

Lips: Finally, Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Riviera, a vibrant tangerine shade, was applied to the lips. The velvety matte color delivers richly pigmented and long-lasting coverage for up to 14 hours.

SIENNA MILLER:
WHO: Celebrity Makeup Artist Pati Dubroff

INSPIRATION: “I wanted the makeup to look very fresh, young and effortless. The dress has a very airy floral vibe so the makeup feels like a summer day.”

HOW TO:
SKINCARE: CHANEL Sublimage La Crème Texture Suprême and CHANEL Base Lumière Illuminating Makeup Base to give skin a luminous glow.

FOUNDATION: CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in Beige 40. I used Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base to contour the cheekbones and to add a soft summer bronzy glow.

EYES: I first used a rich navy blue pencil, CHANEL Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Marine, at the deepest base of lashes. I then smudged a shimmering shade, CHANEL Intense Eye Pencil in Graphite, along the lash line. To set the liner, I used CHANEL Soft Touch Eye Shadow in Furtif. I then added a dash of CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Riviere, a soft shimmering seafoam green on the center of lid. Then a soft touch of CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Fantasme on the inner corner of eyes for a pop of shimmering white light.

MASCARA: I used a hefty dose of Le Volume de Chanel in Noir on the top lashes only.

LIPS: I created a soft and sweet petal pink using CHANEL Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Gracile.

SOFIA VERGARA:
WHO: Celebrity Makeup Artist Kayleen McAdams

INSPIRATION:
“I wanted to do a brick red lip on COVERGIRL Sofia – something a little deeper and more interesting than a classic red lip. Old Hollywood glamour is a trend for awards season, so Sofia and I did our own twist on the look!”

HOW TO:
I started by applying Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in Classic Tan (#860) all over and set it with COVERGIRL + Olay Pressed Powder in Medium. Then, I applied a light dusting of Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer in Brown Bronze and Cheekers Blush in Sierra Sands, a warm blush, on the apples of the cheeks.

I wanted to give the eye a wash of shadow, so I used only one shade, Eye Enhancers 1-Kit in Brown Smolder, and softly blended it over the entire lid. I applied LiqulineBlast Liner in Brown Blaze along the bottom lash line and extended it past the lash line to give a slight wing. I finished off the look with three coats of Clump Crusher by LashBlast Mascara on top to really emphasize the lashes, followed by one coat on the bottom.

On the lips, I applied Queen Collection Lipcolor in Into the Red straight from the tube, blotted and added another coat to make it last all night. I gave Sofia the lipstick to keep in her clutch so she could touch herself up throughout the night.
