Tennis sensation Maria Sharapova looked absolutely stunning at last night’s ESPY awards. At 6’ 2”, the leggy Russian showed off her toned, athletic physique. And, she admits to being a self-confessed fashion gal off the court, who hopes to launch her own beauty and fashion line.
“What I love about (fashion) is that there are no rules. That’s what makes it fun. On a day-to-day basis my style is pretty casual. Overall, I think my style is pretty elegant – I pay attention to the details in clothes. I think the material and the tailoring really make an outfit,” she once revealed to the British lifestyle site, Female First.
Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel created her undone bun to compliment “the beautiful lines of the dress.”
Adir shared with Glam Slam a step-by-step guide on how to get Maria’s look.
1.) Begin by applying a thickening spray all over the roots to create volume.
2.) Next apply a rejuvenating oil on ends to create shine and protect from heat.
3.) Follow this by rough-drying the hair until it is totally dry.
4.) Create a middle part. Using a one-inch curling iron, take one-inch sections of hair and curl them towards the face. Be certain to leave the ends out. Hair should be loosely curled.
5.) To create the updo, begin by applying a texturizing spray and pull hair into a low, loose ponytail secured with an elastic band.
6.) Be sure that the hair in front falls loose around the face. Next, take the ponytail and wrap it into a low circular bun and pin it into place. The bun should have a beautiful shape, look modern and effortless.
7.) Finish this look with a hold spray for a style that will last all night, and Moroccan oil for extra shine.
