‘Glee’s’ Ryan Murphy Reportedly Top Choice To Helm ‘Annie’ Remake

Is Sony Pictures willing to bet their bottom dollar on “Glee’s” Ryan Murphy to direct the “Annie” remake?

According Deadline, the “Glee” creator and showrunner is the studio’s top choice to helm the upcoming movie, starring Willow Smith in the title role.

Though Ryan might be best know for his TV credits, his past big screen work includes 2010’s “Eat Pray Love” and 2006’s “Running With Scissors.”

The “Glee” guru is also reportedly being courted to work his magic on a “Rocky Horror Picture Show” remake at Fox and a big screen take on Broadway’s “Wicked” at Universal.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Willow already has a leading man in mind to play Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks in the reboot of the 1982 big screen musical.

“Brad Pitt!” she told Access at Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never” premiere on Monday night when asked who she wanted to step into the role of her movie adoptive dad.
