The Canadian pop star is going be guest judge on tonight’s “So You Think You Can Dance.” Carly will be judging the top 16 dancers, alongside Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy.
“I am thrilled to be a guest judge on ‘SYTCD.’ As I know Mary and Nigel will cover the technical aspects, I’ll be judging purely on what excites me the most. I’m looking for movement that evokes something in me. When it’s emotional…that’s when I start clapping,” reveals Carly to Healthy Hollywood.
As performer, the “Call Me Maybe” singer has endured her share of criticism, but hopes the contestants don’t take her opinion too personally. “What I love others might hate…it’s just one opinion and I hope all the contestants remember that. If they really feel bad, I’ll show them my fake tap dancing routine and that’ll boost their confidence,” kids Carly.
