Jamie Dornan Stalked A Woman For ‘The Fall’

When Jamie Dornan goes into the head of his characters, he goes there in a big way… in a big creepy way!

The “Fifty Shades of Grey” star spoke to the Los Angeles Times about his role on BBC’s “The Fall,” where he plays serial killer Paul Spector.

“For the first series, I did do a couple of things to try to get inside [his mind]. On the Tube, which is our underground system, I did…,” he said, before stopping himself.

Like his character, Jamie stalked a woman once.

“Can we get arrested for this?… this is a really bad reveal: I, like, followed a woman off the train one day to see what it felt like to pursue someone like that,” he continued.

The actor explained that he didn’t come to close to the unsuspecting woman.

“I really kept my distance. It was kind of half-hearted… I followed her around a couple of street corners and then I was like, ‘What are you doing?'” he explained.

Jamie admitted that the research was disturbing, but helpful.

“It felt kind of exciting, in a really sort of dirty way,” he said. “I’m sort of not proud of myself. But I do honestly think I learned something from it, because I’ve obviously never done any of that in my life,” he said. “It was intriguing and interesting to enter that process of ‘what are you following her for?’ and ‘what are you trying to find out?'”
