Jane Lynch Already Has Her Globes Gown, Reveals New Details Of Katie Couric ‘Glee’ Episode

Jane Lynch will once again don a frock as she heads to the Golden Globes, where she’s nominated again for her role as Sue Sylvester on “Glee.” Thursday morning, she revealed all the details about her gown on Access Hollywood Live.

“I’m sticking with the same designer because he knows what he’s doing — Ali Rahimi is his name,” Jane said of the man who also created her Emmys gown this past fall.

The star said her newest gown takes inspiration from the East, and is almost two-tone in color.

“I’m going to do a kind of an Egyptian neck. You’ll see,” Jane told Access Hollywood Live host Kit Hoover and guest co-host Lisa Rinna. “It’s kind of a shiny black, almost grey, and I’m thrilled.”

Ali has designed gowns worn by a host of Hollywood women including Felicity Huffman and politico Arianna Huffington, and Jane couldn’t say enough good things about her fashion guru of choice.

“He’s amazing and I love everything he does for me.”

With the gown out of the way, Jane’s been concentrating on her role as Coach Sue, and she offered a few additional details about the upcoming episode with Katie Couric, set to air after the Super Bowl on February 7.

“She interviews Sue Sylvester and Sue finds out in the middle of it, it’s not for ‘The 10 Most Fascinating People’ — that’s a Barbara Walters thing — but it’s for ‘The Year’s Biggest Loser,’” Jane confirmed before adding the following new detail: “Sue blows a competition because she’s such a horrible person.”

Uh-oh Cheerios!

While it sounds like there’s bad news in store for the McKinley High cheerleading squad, Jane thinks Sue just might get some good news at some point – a real love interest.

“Sue Sylvester is a warrior and she puts that first, but you know, she does have needs. So, we’ll have to see if she’s going to allow herself to be vulnerable enough to fall in love,” Jane said. “And I’ll bet that the writers – they’re so good, and so hip to Sue’s jive, that I bet they’ll give that to her.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Gwyneth Paltrow is set to return to “Glee” in 2011, and Jane can’t wait, but she’s also hoping the FOX show will eventually recruit another Oscar winner.

“I heard rumblings of Javier Bardem wanting to be on the show. That would make me so happy, I’d probably jump out of my skin,” she said.

When Kit asked if Jane would like to see her pal Christopher Guest, her co-star and director in films like “Best In Show” and “For Your Consideration,” on “Glee,” the actress said she’d love to see that materialize someday.

“I would love to have Chris on ‘Glee.’ I bet that might be something. It’s so off the beaten track for him that he might want to do it,” she said. “It’d be great.”
