Jay-Z & Beyonce’s Baby’s College Fund Is Taken Care Of; Hip-Hop Mogul Dishes On Gwyneth Paltrow’s Birthday Hangover

Jay-Z and Beyonce are ecstatically awaiting the arrival of their baby, but unlike most parents, the power couple isn’t stressed about paying for their impending bundle of joy’s collegiate experience!

“No – yeah, I think I figured it out,” Jay-Z jokingly told Access Hollywood, when asked if he and B had started saving for their little one’s college fund at the Making The Ordinary Extraordinary event hosted by Jay-Z’s scholarship program, the Shawn Carter Foundation, in New York City on Thursday. “Almost, almost.”

While he and Beyonce’s baby will be blessed with a financially solid future, Jay-Z feels for the growing number of Americans who may not be fortunate enough to afford rising tuition fees.

In 2003, Jay, along with his mom, Gloria Carter, established the Shawn Carter Foundation – a scholarship program which helps individuals facing socio-economic hardships pursue education at institutions of higher learning.

“There’s gonna be way more professionals than there are artists. I was lucky enough to have a God-given ability — I got to skip the educational part on its highest level, but, especially in this day and age, a lot of the blue-collar jobs are gone,” Jay-Z told Access, when asked what inspired him to create the program. “I think it’s important to be prepared for this era and what’s to come, and I also think it’s important to give a person an opportunity.

“lf you work hard and you’re ready to put in the work [but] you can’t further your education because of, you know, money for whatever reason… that’s sad,” he added.

In addition to hosting the SC Foundation bash on Thursday, the soon-to-be dad partied earlier this week with pal Gwyneth Paltrow for her 39th birthday.

However, unlike the “Contagion” star – who took to Twitter to complain of a “horrific hangover” the next morning – the hip-hop mogul said he was feeling fine following the birthday soiree.

“I had the same amount of fun as she had,” he told Access, when asked if he shared Gwynnie’s post-birthday bash fate. “No hangover.”
