Jesse James says he’s moving to Austin, Texas, so his kids can be closer to Sandra Bullock, according to TMZ.
The site reported that Jesse spoke with TMZ founder Harvey Levin on Saturday, and told him he’s wrapping up a History Channel special before heading for Texas at the end of the July.
Sandra served as a mother figure to Jesse’s children during their marriage, even writing a letter to a judge in 2009 in Jesse’s custody battle for daughter Sunny against his ex, Janine Lindemulder.
The “Blind Side” star announced in April that she’d be filing for divorce from Jesse, who later publicly admitted to cheating on Sandra during a sit-down interview with ABC News’ “Nightline” after months of tabloid allegations.
At the time, Sandra also announced the adoption of her baby son, Louis.
According to TMZ, Jesse said he’ll stay on part-time at his Long Beach, Calif., motorcycle shop, West Coast Choppers, but will be working full-time at the Austin Speed Shop after the move.
And as for his plans to reconnect with Sandra?
“Whatever happens, happens,” he told the site.
