Joan Collins’ Selfie: UK Stars Recreate Famous Oscars Photo

Move over Ellen DeGeneres – Joan Collins might just be the new queen of the selfie!

While on the red carpet at the Prince’s Trust and Samsung Celebrate Success Awards at Odeon Leicester Square in London on Wednesday, Joan assembled a bevy of celebrities – including royalty! – for their own version of Ellen’s Oscars star-studded selfie.

With Joan holding the smart photo at arm’s length (though a noticeably shorter arm’s length than Oscar selfie-taker Bradley Cooper), nearly a dozen famous faces hopped in to the photo, including Sir Ben Kingsley, Luke Evans, Jeremy Irons, Dominic West.

The photo also featured singer/actress Pixie Lott, musician Jools Holland, TV personalities Phillip Schofield, Anna Williamson, Jools Holland, Laura Whitmore, model Tess Daly, as well as singer/”X Factor” UK champ Sam Bailey.

While Prince Charles was on hand at the event, and did take photos on the red carpet – including one where he was photobombed by Ben Kingsley – he reportedly declined to be part of the group selfie.

The photo from across the pond is just the latest Oscars selfie copycat, and it appears Ellen’s re-Tweet record of more than 3.3 million re-Tweets is safe for now – the photo Joan posted on her Twitter page yesterday has been shared 420 times thus far.
