Justin Bieber To Perform At VMAs; Talks Trust & His Adorable Pup In Radio Interview

Justin Bieber is returning to the MTV Video Music Awards stage.

The pop star will perform “What Do You Mean,” off of his upcoming album, at Sunday’s MTV VMAs. The Biebs last performed on that stage in 2010.

Ahead of his VMAs performance, Bieber took part in a new interview with Elvis Duran for “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show,” which airs this Friday. Excerpts from their chat were posted by Us Magazine’s website on Wednesday evening. In the interview, Justin opened up to the radio host about his trust issues.

“Trusting people is hard, especially for me,” he said. “I’ve trusted people who I probably shouldn’t have trusted before and they’ve hurt my heart.

“I’m a pretty sensitive guy, so I’ll lay it all on the line, and they’ll kind of pull it. So now I’m figuring out there’s certain people I can’t do that with,” he continued.

But Bieber noted his walls aren’t up.

“Here’s what I’ll tell the people: Don’t let someone who ruined your trust ruin that next person’s chance to gain that trust. I think I let that affect me and change the way I looked at people for a while,” he said.

During the interview, Justin also spoke about falling for an adorable Silky Terrier.

“Yes. I am in love…Her name is Esther, she’s my little puppy!” he said. “She’s adorable.”
