International superstar Justin Timberlake has put together a stellar line-up of music artists to join him on stage as feature performers at “Justin Timberlake and Friends: A Special Evening Benefiting the Shriners Hospitals for Children.”
Access Hollywood can reveal that 50 Cent, Boyz II Men, Esmée Denters, The Jonas Brothers, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Leona Lewis, Rihanna and Will.i.am will top the list of friends performing with him at the Planet Hollywood Resort Theatre for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas on Friday, October 17.
“It’s gonna be a real cool, eclectic kind of line up and I’m excited about it,” Timberlake told Billy Bush on The Billy Bush Show. “I think we’re gonna cover all the bases… I think it’s gonna be a really cool show.”
In November 2007, the PGA Tour announced that Grammy and Emmy Award winner Timberlake would become the host of the tour’s Las Vegas event, which was renamed the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
Timberlake becomes the 14th celebrity in tour history to host an event, joining the likes of Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis, Jr. The October 17 concert is one of several events during tournament week that will benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Timberlake is also hosting a Celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday, October 15, at TPC Summerlin, the host site of the golf tournament. For more information on the event, log onto www.jtshrinersopen.com.
“It’s gonna be a big week,” Timberlake said. “We’re trying to add as many cool but not distracting extra-curricular activites and just make it a fun week.”
The event schedule opens on October 13 with a shotgun Pro-Am, followed by a PGA tour professionals practice round on October 14.
The Celebrity Pro-Am featuring Timberlake and celebrity friends will be October 15 with the professional competition round beginning on October 16. A range of other events will take place through Sunday, October 19. Television coverage on the Golf Channel begins Thursday, October 16.
“This is our virgin opening and we’re happy about it,” Timberlake told Bush. “I think it’s gonna go really well. “

The 2008 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open kicks off a five-year commitment between the two parties to continue the tradition of a PGA Tour event in Las Vegas.
The collaboration between Shriners Hospitals and Timberlake to act as Title Sponsor and host, respectively, promises to create a truly unique and world-class event for players and fans alike. A host of well-known golfers and celebrities will participate in the competition to help support the Shriners Hospitals’ mission.
