Justin Timberlake Responds To Marine’s Invite

Justin Timberlake is open to going to the Marine Corps ball with the Corporal who asked his hand to the event.

“I saw that, I don’t feel backed into a corner at all,” Justin said at a press conference for “Friends with Benefits,” when asked about the YouTube invite from Corporal Kelsey De Santis, who is stationed at the Marine Corps base at Quantico.

“I’ll tell you what, I accept, but not because she shouted out one of my songs, which I do love, when they do that, because I’m shameless and not because she had all those beefcake military guys behind her to try and intimidate me, although that probably would have worked by itself,” he added.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, earlier this week, the Corporal used a YouTube video to ask Justin to come to her ball on November 12 – a week before the one his “Friends with Benefits” co-star, Mila Kunis, was invited to by another Marine.

“So Justin, you wanna call out my girl Mila, well I’m gonna call you out and ask you to go to the Marine Corps Ball with me on November 12, in Washington D.C.,” the Corporal said in the clip.

Justin said he would try and make the event because he found the invite flattering.

“I don’t get asked out… ever. So I was very flattered by that. And I hear that she’s trained in martial arts so I’m hoping that we can tousle at some point. That last part was a joke,” he added. “But yeah, if my schedule works out to do it, I’d love to do it. It’s an honor.”
