Katy Perry Mistakenly Given Award Meant For Rihanna

Rihanna doesn’t want a “Kiss” from Katy Perry — she just wants her award back.

Katy had a lot to celebrate on Saturday at the NRJ Awards in Cannes, France, when it was announced her hit, “I Kissed A Girl,” had won the Best International Song trophy – until the show’s host revealed the award was actually supposed to go to Rihanna.

NRJ Awards host Nikos Aliagas announced the award snafu at the end of France’s biggest music award ceremony, explaining the actual winner was “Disturbia,” by Rihanna, the BBC reported.

Though Katy had to kiss her award goodbye, the pop star was honored with the award for Best International Album for “One of the Boys.”

Other NRJ Award winners included Britney Spears, the Pussycat Dolls, Enrique Iglesias, and the Jonas Brothers.
