Katy Perry Says Grammy Nominations Are ‘A Nice Way To Finish The Year’

Katy Perry is finishing up her whirlwind year with four Grammy nominations – an honor she’s ecstatic about!

“It’s exciting, I’m really happy!” Katy told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson at the Grammy Nominations Concert Live!, held in Los Angeles on Wednesday following the news of her four nods.

“I called my hubby and he said, ‘Well done!’” she continued, referring to Russell Brand who she married in October in India. “This year seems like it’s going to be a big year and [it’s] a nice way to finish the year too… I am so blessed.”

The “Teenage Dream” singer explained that she’s cooking up something heavenly for the big night.

“I just did the Victoria’s Secret show for CBS as well… those costumes really inspired me. I’m not talking necessarily about the bikinis, but all the elaborate, wonderful, beautiful angel’s wings, so maybe we’ll be thinking along those terms,” the 26-year-old singer told Shaun.

Katy scored the coveted Album Of The Year nomination for ‘Teenage Dream” along with nods in the Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album categories.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will take place live on CBS on Sunday, February 13, 2011.
