Khloe Kardashian is taking a step back from rapper French Montana because he was reportedly too "needy."
"They are on a break," according to an Us Weekly source. "The relationship got too heavy and Khloe needed to take a step back."
Another mag source claimed that the rapper was too "needy" for the 30-year-old reality star.
"It grated on her that he became so dependent on her," the second source said.
The mag also reported that other members of the Kardashian clan were not Team French.
"[Kris Jenner] did not approve and told Khloe all the time," the first source said. The mag also reported that sister Kim and stepdad Bruce Jenner were "very skeptical" of the Moroccan-born rapper, 29, using Khloe for fame.
When French stopped by Access Hollywood Live in August, he opened up about his mixed emotions about appearing on reality TV with Khloe.
"I hate being on camera... Sometimes you're not ready for it and it's too much pressure, but I love it. But I hate how it happened… all the commotion," he said of stepping into life in front of the cameras.
As for supporting Khloe, French said, "She supports me with everything I do. When it comes to her career, I don't think about it. If she needs me to do something, I do it."
