James Corden has delivered an early Christmas present for Carpool Karaoke fans!
The “Late Late Show” host unveiled a special holiday edition of the hit segment on Thursday night, belting out Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” with Mimi herself – and a few special guests!
Adele, Lady Gaga, Chris Martin, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, Gwen Stefani and more superstars all joined James in the sing-a-long montage, featuring never-before-seen footage from each singer’s own Carpool Karaoke segment from the past year.
The clip begins with James and Mariah driving through Los Angeles with presents stuffed into their vehicle’s backseat and a Christmas tree strapped to the roof. The pair is dressed appropriately festive, with James sporting a green snowman sweater and Mariah donning a cleavage-baring red leather jacket and jewels.
When asked what kind of gift she would like to receive, Mimi tells James she just wants him to sing her seasonal classic – and the fun begins!
In addition to a group effort from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the star-studded mash-up also includes standout moments like Elton John planting a smooch on James’ head, Demi and Nick showing off coordinated dance moves, and Gaga and Adele striving to hit Mariah’s signature high notes.
