‘Lost’ Comic-Con Secrets: Boone Is Back – But Are Charlie & Juliet?

At least one formerly deceased character will be making an appearance on the final season of “Lost,” actor Ian Somerhalder confessed to AccessHollywood.com’s Dish of Salt, Laura Saltman, at the San Diego Comic-Con.

“Boone’s gonna pop back in,” Ian said of his character, who bit the dust during the show’s first season. “Two minutes ago, I walked out of a green room with [producers] Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof. We’re gonna work it out.”

And Michael Emerson, who plays the scheming Benjamin Linus on the show, hinted to the Dish that no one ever really dies on “Lost” – leaving the door open for other returns.

In the show’s panel presentation, Dominic Monaghan, who played Charlie Pace – a musician who died a heroic death at the end of Season 3 – made an appearance, with the message “Am I Alive?” written on his hand.

Dominic is set to star in ABC’s new drama “Flash Forward,” making a possible appearance on “Lost” tough to juggle, but Ian, who has a new role in The CW’s “Vampire Diaries,” said he would be fine handling dual gigs.

“That’s what they were just talking about,” Ian said. “We’ll make it happen. It’s gonna be a red-eye from Atlanta, go to set, work.”

Elizabeth Mitchell, who finished Season 5 of “Lost” in a precarious position, also told the Dish that her character, Juliet, would be back, but didn’t know if she’d be alive or dead.

The star also has a second full-time role on her hands, in ABC’s “V,” which premieres in November.
