Marissa Jaret Winokur Blogs About In-Vitro: ‘I’m Trying To Have A Baby’

Marissa Jaret Winokur loves being a mom – and she’s trying for a second baby!

Marissa, who had a hysterectomy due to a battle with cervical cancer, used a surrogate to bring her first child, Zev Isaac (now 2-years-old), into the world. Now, she’s ready for round 2!

“I have spent the last month doing IVF and this week I had my eggs removed!!!,” Marissa announced on her blog via People on Friday. “[My husband] Judah and I have six embryos waiting to find a womb!!!

“I can’t believe I’m fully back in the process of trying to have a baby!” the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant added. “I know it sounds crazy, but I can’t imagine loving anyone the way I love Zev. I know he will adore having a sibling.”

The 37-year-old bubbly brunette has been very open about her struggles with fertility in the past, and hopes this round will be slightly easier – since she now knows what to expect.

“I am so nervous about the newborn stage, but at least this time I know that one day I will make contact with the alien and bond,” she joked. “And when that day comes I will be hooked forever. I hope the process doesn’t take forever, but I have faith it will work out the way it’s supposed to.”
