Melissa Rycroft: Gearing Up For Baby & ‘Bachelor Pad’

Reality star Melissa Rycroft may be pregnant with her first child, but she hasn’t sent husband Tye Strickland out on midnight food runs just yet.

“No cravings yet,” “The Bachelor Pad” co-host told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush when she stopped by the AH Nation earlier in the week. “Total food aversion.”

The brunette revealed that she still has plenty of time to develop pregnancy-related food cravings as she isn’t due for several months.

“We are due at the end of February,” she said.

“Could be a Valentine’s baby,” she added after Billy asked if it could fall on the romantic holiday. “It’s not up to me. It’s that baby’s timing.”

Melissa revealed that she and Tye, who she rekindled a romance with after her break-up with one-time “Bachelor” Jason Mesnick, don’t have baby names picked out yet.

“I don’t know. I haven’t even thought about it yet,” she laughed.

What’s currently filling Melissa thoughts is the upcoming season of “Bachelor/Bachelorette” spin-off show “Bachelor Pad,” which premieres Monday at 9 PM on ABC. For starters, she’s thrilled to be co-hosting alongside Chris Harrison.

“It feels much better standing next to Chris than it did standing across from Chris,” she laughed, referring to the time she spent on Season 13 of “The Bachelor.”

Clips from the new show reveal that plenty of drama is in store for the bachelors and bachelorettes who live together, including one incident where Michelle locks Tenley in the bathroom.

“Unfortunately, you have to laugh at a lot of the stuff that goes on in the house,” Melissa said of the cast’s antics. “When you’re confined for that long and you’re living with 19 people, I think it’s kind of natural that you start to go a little stir crazy. You kind of act on impulse and speak on impulse and [there are] some really good moments.”

Melissa also revealed that there is a lot of romance in store for the stars of the new show.

“Everybody gets action at one point,” she said.

When asked if there are any relationships that spring from the house, Melissa said fans will truly see romance blossom.

“There’s several,” she said. “There’s more than I thought.”

As for her own romantic life, she’s still smiling over the twist of fate with “The Bachelor” that eventually lead her back into the arms of Tye.

“It’s kind of scary to think when you almost miss out on what you think is your soulmate,” she said. “I’m so happy and I can’t imagine not being with him right now.”
