Michael Chiklis Talks The Shield Movie & Fighting With Jennifer Lopez In Parker: She Told Me To ‘Throw Down’

A menacing Michael Chiklis gets in Jennifer Lopez’s face in the new big screen thriller “Parker,” and the actor confessed that while he was worried about filming the threatening scene, J.Lo took it all in stride.

“I apologized to her before [we started filming],” Michael told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson at the “Parker” junket in Los Angeles, of shooting an intense scene where Michael’s jewelry thief character screamed at and “terrorized” Jennifer. “I said, ‘Jennifer, I’m sorry.’ And she was like, ‘For what?’ I was like, ‘For what I’m about to do.’

“She was like, ‘Oh no!’ She was all ‘Jenny from the Block’ about it,’” he continued. “She was like, ‘Throw down!’ and I did.”

Michael also goes head-to-head with “Parker” star Jason Statham in a brutal fight scene – one that took two days to film.

“[It was] two 12 hour days of us just beating the crap out of each other, so yeah, I had the frozen peas out after that,” he said. “I was bruised up pretty good.”

As for whether fans will ever see Michael as Vic Mackey from “The Shield” again, the actor said plans to bring the FX drama to the big screen are in the works – but it’s slow-going.

“[Series creator] Shawn [Ryan] and I have talked about it, we’ve discussed it — there’s a great idea that he has for it,” he said, when asked if “The Shield” will ever be revived for a movie. “The will is there… and I know it has a tremendous audience just from how many times I’m asked the question! So maybe, hopefully at some point they’ll get motivated and they’ll want to do it.”

Adding, “Part of [the holdup] has been, frankly, that Shawn’s been extremely busy and so have I, happily, thank God. But I wouldn’t mind going back and revisiting him.”

“Parker” hits theaters on January 25.
