Michael Lohan Lashes Out At Lindsay’s Lawyer & Dina Lohan Following Court Hearing

Moments after daughter Lindsay Lohan was taken away to jail to await the hearing for violating the terms of her DUI probation after testing positive on at least one drug test, Michael Lohan lashed out at those around the actress, placing blame on a host of parties for the trouble in which the actress currently finds herself.

Michael took aim at Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, and his ex-wife, Dina Lohan, both of whom were in court on Friday.

“Shawn Chapman Holley and the people around Lindsay who are representing her are responsible,” Michael told reporters outside of the Beverly Hills Superior Court after his daughter was taken into custody.

Michael said he believes that Lindsay being sent to UCLA Medical Center for post-jail rehab back in August was a bad move, constructed by Holley and others. She was reportedly originally set to check into an inpatient treatment facility in Orange County.

“They are destroying my daughter’s life,” Michael claimed. “I’m praying Dina finally gets on the same page with me and does something about this.”

The dad added that when Lindsay is finally sentenced, he’d like to see Judge Elden S. Fox give the actress more rehab time.

“It’s a horrible situation. I just hope the judge remands Lindsay to rehab for a longer period of time and the people in Lindsay’s life that are destroying her life and leading her down the wrong path are weeded out,” he said.

Dina Lohan replied “no comment honey” when approached by Access Hollywood following Lindsay’s court hearing. Holley was not immediately available to comment on Michael’s allegations when contacted by Access.

While Lindsay is back behind bars at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., Michael is still fearful of those around his daughter.

“I truly believe that she’s finally in a place where she wants to be, but it’s a few people in her life that keep leading her off that path and enabling her,” he said.

As for Lindsay’s home for the next month behind bars, Michael thinks it’s not the place his daughter needs to be.

“Jail is not good for anyone – I’ve been there,” he said. “It doesn’t rehabilitate. You have to make a choice yourself when you get out that you are gonna learn from your experience in jail and change your life.”
