Mom-To-Be Ashlee Simpson Not Worried About Weight

Expectant mom Ashlee Simpson isn’t worried about her weight gain – just her baby.

“I am only concerned with having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby,” she wrote on her MySpace blog on Friday, countering rumors that she was depressed about her size.

“Today I read on a blog that I went to the doctor and he said I was overweight and I cried and went to Planet Blue (because I was blue) and bought 6 [pairs] of size 0 jeans,” she wrote before denying the trip. “[I] have not been to Planet Blue in at least two years.”

“My doctor says I am right on target with my weight gain,” she added.

As for those jeans, she says it is rocker husband Pete Wentz who’s been wearing them.

“My closet full of size 0’s are being worn by Pete right now and he looks hot in them,” she wrote.

Rumors aside, Ashlee’s full attention is on her baby.

“Carrying a child is the most inspiring, emotional, amazing experience of my life. My weight and my pant size are the absolute last thing I am concerned about,” she blogged.

One person who knows Ashlee’s priorities are in the right place is ex-boyfriend Ryan Cabrera, who told People on Friday that he thought Ashlee would be a “great mom.”

“She’s just a good person and she’s dedicated to her family,” he said. “It will be a good home.”
