It a boy for Nicole Richie and Joel Madden!
Nicole gave birth to a baby boy, Sparrow James Midnight Madden, the couple announced on Nicole’s Web site.
The little bundle of joy was born early Wednesday morning and weighed in at 7lbs. 14oz.
“In the middle of night, the very early hours of September 9, 2009 Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden,” a statement posted on the site stated. “Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes.”
The proud new father, Joel, also announced the news on his Twitter.
“Guess who’s back,” he Tweeted. “Oh i’m sorry we were only having a little baby boy.”
In August, Joel, 30, said he and Nicole, 27, felt “blessed” to have another baby on the way.
“We’re very, very blessed,” The Good Charlotte front man told People. “We’ve already had one healthy kid, and that’s all you can ask for as a parent – healthy kids.”
In addition to being a mom, Nicole has been busy as a blossoming designer. Mostly recently, she has created a maternity line for A Pea in the Pod in addition to her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line.
But it’s not just all business for celeb couple. They also founded the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation in 2007, which aids various education and healthcare initiatives.
The couple’s first child, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, was born in January 2008.
