Octavia Spencer’s Emotional Golden Globe Win; Actress Reveals Triple Spanx Style Secret

Octavia Spencer gave a passionate acceptance speech at Sunday’s Golden Globes after winning Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in “The Help,” and when she left the stage, her emotions took over.

“I got backstage and I just started crying,” the actress revealed to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush after her big win.

“It’s been very wonderful,” the first-time Globe winner continued. “This is really overwhelming. I can’t even tell you. I’m so overwhelmed. I’m still in a state of shock… It’s wonderful.”

In addition to a Golden Globe, the 41-year-old star Tweeted that she landed congratulatory kissed from George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, director Steven Speilberg and also developed a girl crush on fellow Globe nominee Charlie Theron.

The actress told Billy that she planned on celebrating with her fellow “The Help” co-stars, but also revealed she was looking forward to slipping into something a little more comfortable.

“I thought I was going to party all night but I don’t have it in me. I just want to go home, wash my face, de-Spanx,” she said. “I got to take them off. I’m triple Spanxed tonight… I just want to pop them off!”
