“The Rocky
Horror Picture Show” on Fox has found its Janet
and Brad.
Victoria Justice
will play Janet Weiss, while Ryan McCartan, of “Liv & Maddie,”
will star as Brad Majors.
Last fall, it was
revealed that “Orange Is the New Black” star Laverne Cox will be playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter. On Monday, in
addition to Victoria and Ryan’s castings, Fox announced that Reeve Carney of
“Penny Dreadful” will play Riff Raff, a loyal servant of the doctor.
Fox’s “The
Rocky Horror Picture Show” follows the story of Janet and Brad as they
come across Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s “bizarre abode,” per Fox’s
description. “Frank-N-Furter, a sexually
ambiguous, flirtatious alien mad-scientist, is holding an annual, Transylvanian
science convention to showcase the birth of ‘Rocky Horror’ – a fit, attractive
man created solely to fulfill Frank’s desires,” Fox’s description of the
two-hour event read.
Staz
Nair will play Rocky Horror.
