Ryan Lochte
has a major year ahead! The Olympic swimmer is going to be a first-time dad.
He revealed
the happy announcement in an underwater Instagram post on Wednesday, showing
him kissing his fiancée Kayla Rae Reid’s belly as they take a dip in the
pool.
In his
caption, the 32-year-old shared excitement about fatherhood – and the
special timing.

“My Christmas gift came early this year, can’t wait for next year! Best news I’ve ever received,” he captioned, adding the hashtags “#CLOUD9,” “#excited,” “#love” and others.
Kayla posted a similar snap, and hinted that her and Ryan’s soon-to-be little one is a welcome addition they hadn’t seen coming.

“Just when you think you think you have it all figured out, life always surprises you with blessings when least expect it. So excited to share this news with all of you!” she captioned.
Parenting isn’t the only partnership the couple has in their future. The gold medalist and the Playboy model got engaged earlier this year, and Ryan told Access Hollywood in October that he’s looking forward to being a hands-on groom throughout their wedding plans.
“I want to be a part of this with her,” he said. “I want to pick out the flowers, I want to pick out the cake, do everything with her.”
