Salma Hayek Joins Doha Tribeca Film Festival Jury In Qatar

Salma Hayek is helping to bring Hollywood to the Middle East.

The Doha Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar (DTFF) announced on Monday that Academy Award-nominated actress, producer and director Salma Hayek is joining the festival’s jury. She joins newly appointed jury president Egyptian actress Yosra, English actor/writer/director Nick Moran, Indian director Bhavna Talwar and Bosnian screenwriter and director of the Academy Award-winning “No Man’s Land,” Danis Tanovic, at the second annual film festival.

Festival organizers also announced that seven more feature films, including John Curran’s “Stone” with Robert De Niro and Edward Norton, “Machete” with Jessica Alba, Danny Trejo and Lindsay Lohan and “Casino Jack,” which stars Kevin Spacey. A special IMAX presentation of “Paranormal Activity 2” will also screen.

Guests expected to attend include Robert De Niro, Freida Pinto, Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein and Andrew McCarthy.
