The pop superstar debuted a chic new bob on Instagram
Tuesday afternoon, sharing the edgy look with her 118 million followers.
Sel appeared to let her summer-ready ‘do speak for itself
and showed off the dramatic cut in side-by-side photos without a caption.

With a bathrobe hanging off her shoulders in the pic, the 24-year-old’s damp mane barely grazes her chin as textured layers peek out from the back.
While Selena’s been rocking her signature cascading mane for years, she seems to have been preparing for what’s now her shortest ‘do yet.

Back in January, she showed off a choppy, shoulder-length lob in an Instagram selfie, and had a similarly shorter ‘do earlier this month while hitting up Coachella with boyfriend The Weeknd.
While she has yet to reveal the decision behind her latest look, some fans have already begun to speculate a deeper meaning.
A few Instagram commenters noted similarities between Sel’s bob and that of Hannah Baker, the tragic heroine of Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why.”
It wouldn’t be the first time Selena’s taken inspiration from the hit series, on which she’s an executive producer.

Following the show’s explosive response, she and several “13 Reasons Why” co-stars got matching tattoos as a tribute to Project Semicolon, a movement aimed to raise suicide prevention awareness.
In addition, Selena also showed off a blue manicure on the premiere’s red carpet in honor of Hannah’s choice nail polish color.
