Sheen Speaks: Star Thanks Fans, ‘Two & A Half Men’ Cast & Crew For Support

In the wake of reports suggesting that crewmembers of “Two and a Half Men” were angry with the actor over a potential pause in their pay due to the show going on hiatus, Charlie Sheen has issued a new statement, thanking his co-workers for their support.

“I want to say ‘thank-you’ to my fellow cast members, the crew of ‘Two and a Half Men,’ and everyone at CBS and Warner Bros., especially Les Moonves and Bruce Rosenblum for their concern and support,” Sheen said a statement issued to Access Hollywood by the actor’s rep, Stan Rosenfield.

Sheen is currently at home, receiving treatment from a sober coach and the “Two and a Half Men” star also offered his appreciation for his fans.

“To my fans, your good wishes have touched me very much,” Sheen’s statement continued.

The actor, whose latest move toward rehab came at the urging of his father, Martin Sheen, and followed last Thursday’s hospitalization after an all-night party, said he is going to work on giving back.

“I have a lot of work to do to be able to return the support I have received from so many people,” Sheen said.

The actor ended his statement, referencing the legendary and controversial star of “The Adventures of Robin Hood.”

“Like Errol Flynn, who had to put down his sword on occasion, I just want to say, ‘thank-you.’”

During his life, Flynn had a reputation for living a hearty lifestyle that included liaisons with women, a catchphrase – “in like Flynn,” and heavy drinking.

Flynn actually faced charges of statutory rape involving two teenage girls in 1942, although he was later acquitted.

In the late 1950’s, Flynn became involved with a 15-year-old. The two eventually became engaged, but he died of a heart attack at age 50, when she was 17.

As for the angry crewmember allegations, reported by multiple outlets including E! News and TMZ, both Warner Bros., which makes the series and CBS, which airs it, have remained mum.

However, a “key crew member” told E!, “We are really pissed.”

“A lot of us do not get paid, if we don’t’ work,” the source added. “So, if he’s off getting rehabbed, or porn-o-ing, or whatever, we’re screwed.”

Sheen also reportedly issued a statement on his own behalf – responding to text messages from E!

When asked about reports that his father, Martin, wants to put him under a conservatorship, and reports his show will ground to a halt, Sheen wrote back, “All crap,” E! claimed.

“Believe nothing. I will never speak about any of this as long as I’m alive. You’re all gonna have to keep towing the same redundant line, guessing wrong,” he reportedly added, according to the website.
