When the HBO series, “Sex And The City,” was on the air, the outfits of the four ladies – Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte, regularly spawned shopping crazes. Following the release of the first official photo from “Sex And The City: The Movie,” a new shopping craze has emerged with fans going gaga over one item in particular – Carrie’s Parisian handbag.
Sarah Jessica Parker who stars as sex columnist Bradshaw, toted the intriguing Eiffel Tower handbag during a recent spot of filming. As fans will know, during the final season of “SATC,” Carrie returned from living in Paris with Aleksander, with Mr. Big (Chris Noth).
Costume designer Patricia Field sought out the remarkable handbag at designer Timmy Wood’s Los Angeles store.
“It’s the perfect bag for that opening scene on her return to New York,” Woods told Access. “[Patricia] wanted something that Carrie would be able to remember her Paris sojourn [by].”
The adorable bag isn’t the first unusual item designers have had Carrie carry. During the TV series she sported eccentric horse, lips and phone purses.
As for the new movie purse, the Eiffel tower bag has over 6,200 Swarovski crystals. The bag is also handmade with recyclable wood.
“She can put her money and her credit cards and a condom [in it],” Woods said.

This fancy bag however, doesn’t come cheap. It costs $2500. There is however a more affordable version without crystals for $475, but there is a waiting list. Timmy Woods has completely sold out.
