Taryn Manning Talks ‘Wild’ Season 2 Of ‘Orange Is The New Black’

Fans are in for a wild ride when “Orange Is the New Black” returns for its second season, according to series star Taryn Manning.

The actress, who plays Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett on the Netflix show, tells Access Hollywood Season 2 will be as crazy as ever.

“The show just continues to get wild and the writing is supreme,” she told Access at a dress fitting for the Red Dress for Women – The Heart Truth Dress Collection 2014 Fashion Show. “You just get to peek in a little bit more into the characters and you really start to get to know other characters that maybe you didn’t get to know in Season 1.”

Adding, “[There are] all kinds of surprises in store.”

And Jodie Foster will be back to direct additional episodes of the series.

“I met her and I almost passed out,” Taryn said. “I love her so much and she was so sweet and shy, and I’m like, ‘Wait – why are you shy right now?!’ But she was really kind.

“[Jodi] said Season 2 is looking really good, so it was really cool to hear,“ she continued.

While Taryn wasn’t able to reveal plot details from the upcoming season, she did admit she’s thrilled to ditch her show wardrobe at the end of the work day.

“Getting out of my prison jumpsuit every day is the most triumphant moment of the day,” she said. “[It take] my potato sack, swing it around and throw it! It’s fun, it’s cool. I love that show for many reasons – like, just the wardrobe alone, like I call it the great equalizer because we’re so many females on set and no one can be like, ‘Well, you look cute today,’ because none of us look cute!”

“Orange Is the New Black” Season 2 is expected to be released in the spring, but an official date has yet to be announced.
