Taylor Swift Reveals ‘Best Moment Ever’; Weighs In On Surprising Michelle Chamuel On The Voice

Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance during Michelle Chamuel’s “The Voice” rehearsal two weeks ago to critique the contestant’s version of her hit, “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

So what did the country/pop superstar think of Michelle’s performance?

“She was so sweet and down to earth and I love her rendition [of my song],” Taylor told Access Hollywood’s Michelle Beadle at the 2013 Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City. “She really felt it — you could tell.”

The “22” singer said Michelle Chamuel – the last remaining Team Usher contestant (who made it into the show’s Top 3 last week) – puts her heart and soul into her performances.

“It was so emotional watching her do it. When she performed live, so much pain went into it and I loved that,” Taylor said.

Taylor — who just released her new fragrance, Taylor by Taylor Swift for Elizabeth Arden — also shared details of how her appearance on the NBC reality hit came about.

“I’m rehearsing and literally singing ‘…Trouble’ and learning some new choreography… and Usher just walks in,” she said. “He’s like, ‘Hey, we’re shooting ‘The Voice’ over there. My girl is doing your song.’ And I’m like… ‘I mean, I don’t have hair and makeup or anything, but I’ll do it!’”

The blond beauty also performed with the Rolling Stones in Chicago earlier this month and said sharing the stage with the legendary rockers was a dream come true.

“The whole band, they’re so welcoming and wonderful and approachable and all the things you would hope your heroes would be,” she said. “It’s wonderful getting that phone call. Like, ‘Hey, would you like to go and play with the Rolling Stones?’ That is a bold, underlined, exclamation point ‘Yes!’”

Taylor took pictures with the band that she said she will “never lose” and has a note from the group that she’s having framed.

She also said that she and Mick Jagger bonded (the musicians even created their own signature dance move).

“We did this twirl in the dressing room when we were rehearsing, because we just started sorta kinda like dancing around the room and frolicking and it was really fun,” she said. “So we decided to incorporate that into the actual performance… I really wanted to do the twirl — this one little twirl that we did — and that was pretty much the best moment ever.”
