‘The Voice’ Judge Adam Levine Starts Record Label, Signs ‘Glee’s’ Matthew Morrison

Adam Levine is launching his own record label, called 222 Records – and he’s already got his first artist.

The Maroon 5 frontman and “The Voice” coach has already signed a familiar face to the new label – “Glee” star Matthew Morrison, according to Billboard.

“Starting my own label has been a longtime goal of mine, and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening,” Adam said, according to the mag. “Great things are in store for [Matthew] with this release.”

Matthew, who, whose self-titled debut album (with Mercury Records) was released in May 2011, is confident he and Adam are on the same artistic page when it comes to recording his sophomore project.

“Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together,” the “Glee” star said.

Catch Adam in action alongside Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera on “The Voice” – Mondays at 8 PM on NBC.
