‘This Is Us’ Renewed For 2 More Seasons On NBC

Get ready
for more “This is Us.”

The family
drama has been renewed for two additional seasons of at least 18 episodes each,
NBC announced on Wednesday.

“We all got our wish
that this is a hit show,” NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said
in a statement. “‘This Is Us’ is as good as anything we’ve ever had, we’re
thrilled to renew it for two seasons and there’s no doubt it will have a long
life on NBC.”

According to a press release, 72 million total viewers have watched the first 10 episodes in some capacity, and the series premiere is NBC’s most-watched ever on digital platforms. The show is currently the No. 1 new show of the 2016-17 season in the key 18-49 demographic.

“In a world where there are literally hundreds of television dramas, we’re proud to have one of the very best that is also one of the highest-rated,” Salke added.

“This is Us” got off to a strong start even before its debut, with the trailer generating more than 105 million views since May.

Starring Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan, Susan Kelechi Watson and Ron Cephas Jones, “This is Us” airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
