‘Twilight’ Newbies Xavier Samuel & Julia Jones Talk ‘Eclipse’

“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” hits theaters in just three weeks and two of its newest stars, Xavier Samuel and Julia Jones, are pumped to become part of the phenomenon.

Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson caught up with the stars on the red carpet at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards where Xavier, who plays evil vampire Riley, said his character isn’t completely bad.

”[He’s] just a little bit bad,” he explained. “I think Riley’s kind of a nice guy at heart, you know? He just gets roped into the wrong situations, which happens to be part of destruction and revenge.”

Despite his character’s evil ways, Xavier told Shaun, “I’m very excited about ‘Eclipse.’ I just can’t wait… it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Also new to the “Twilight Saga” is Julia Jones, who plays the lone female member of the wolf pack – Leah Clearwater.

“Would you call yourself a she-wolf?” Shaun asked.

“I’ve never called myself a she wolf before, but I usually go with girl wolf, girl werewolf. I’m the girl wolf,” Julia said.

How did the she wolf survive in the boisterous ab-tacular wolf pack?

“I was living and working with them for like a month,” she said of filming the latest installment of the vampire series. “[My character Leah is] really annoyed by them. She’s frustrated that she has to be a wolf.”
