Val Kilmer Replaces Will Arnett As The Voice of KITT In ‘Knight Rider’ Revival

Will Arnett fans will be disappointed to hear the actor has been replaced as the voice of KITT, in NBC’s revival of “Knight Rider,” by Val Kilmer.

Arnett has been the voice of GMC Trucks for almost a decade, but the new KITT car is a Ford Mustang. After GM found about the Ford connection, they asked Arnett to step down, Variety reports.

“I was very excited at the prospect of playing the part of KITT in the new ‘Knight Rider’ movie,” Arnett told Variety. “However, because of a long relationship with General Motors as the voice of GMC Trucks, I had to respectfully withdraw from the project.”

Val Kilmer star of “Batman Forever,” “Heat” and “Top Gun,” lent his voice-over skills to the 1998 animated film, “The Prince of Egypt.”
