Zachary Levi Set To Sing Along With ‘Alvin & The Chipmunks’

Meet the newest member of the Chipmunks family – Zachary Levi.

Levi, the star of NBC’s “Chuck,” will star opposite the famous trio of singing rodents in “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel,” per The Hollywood Reporter.

Levi will play the cousin of Jason Lee’s character from the original, who, much like his predecessor, gets into some hijinks with the animated trio.

Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler and Jesse McCartney will return to voice Alvin, Simon and Theodore.

But Levi isn’t the only new addition to the sequel – the latest installment will also introduce the “Chipettes” – Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor – who were a part of the 1980s cartoon series.

In 2007, “Alvin and the Chipmunks” grossed $217 million at the North American box office.
